  I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner my wife and I had here! This was a really unexpected gem of a restaurant. Our waiter was enthusiastic, passionate about the food they were serving. The food itself lived up to the expectations he set out for us as we were ordering. This is a great place to bring the family, and experience food that is on par with what you would expect from a much more pretentious environment. If you're on the fence get the grill for 2, amazing.

  Mother's day Brunch was a disaster with my wife, mother, sister in law, and all of the kids here at Cook and Dagger. I made reservations for 2:00 and called ahead about 30 minutes before to ensure the kitchen was on schedule. The woman who answered the phone stated they were on schedule & not to worry. We showed up and were sat immediately. The staff was very nice but it took about 15 minutes after ordering our drinks to receive them. After sitting there for 35 minutes our order was finally taken. We then sat there for another 45 minutes waiting for our food. Meanwhile, every table that was sat after us had received all of their food (3 tables). At this point all of us are extremely hungry and upset that our food is taking so long and that every table around us that came in 15-30 minutes later had their food and was finishing up with their plates. My wife spoke with the manager and expressed our obvious state of aggravation and displeasure with waiting so long. The manager apologized and said she would take off the drinks from the bill. We appreciated the gesture, but after waiting this long all we wanted to do was leave. So after sitting there for an hour and a half our food finally arrived. I have to be honest, mine and my wife's food tasted really good. The problem though was with the other plates. The simple omelet was missing some ingredients that was ordered, my sisters prime rib was ice cold and her daughters French toast the same...ice cold. There was no way we were sending back the food after waiting so long, so they ate some of the food and left the rest. The waitress was nice and asked if she could bring us out a new plate but we obviously declined to wait any longer. Once the check was dropped I noticed the check was compensated correctly except my sisters prime rib and her daughter's French toast...they were still on the bill. When my brother in law asked to speak with the manager about those 2 items one of the owner/chefs came out of the kitchen in a hostile manner and asked if he had a problem. He explained the issue of those particular 2 dishes. The owner /chef then told my brother in law to forget about the bill, but to do him a favor and never come back again.... WOW! I just want to say that I have no problem with paying for an experience and a meal that meets my expectation. I even have no problem with paying for extremely shotty service but great food. In this case it was a little bit of each: partly good food with partly good service and horrible wait time.
  My advice to all is to stay away! If you're looking for good food and a good environment with proper wait times keep looking!
